During my recent bout with VE, I have found that it does have some redeeming
qualities. OK, maybe only one redeeming quality. That is, that it is very
easy to mix. You just add the number of drops you think will be needed to
get it to cure in the time and temperature you are going to work with. I am
about to finish up a quart kit that I got over two months ago and it is
still usable. I have been mixing 18 drops per two OZ of resin and vary that
downward a few drops if I have a larger layup to do. I would never use it
for normal layups, but if you have to bond with other stuff made with VE, it
isn't as bad as I remembered it's being. The big bummer is not being able
to lay it out on plastic sheet and that it is impossible to sand. I have
not tried the PVA thing yet.

As for KR's what kind of shelf life are people REALLY getting with vinyl
ester resin? and, What amount of work time are you getting for lay ups at 72
to 75 degrees shop temp?
