I tried that very same thing, for me it didn't work out at all..a KR has a
tight interior and the stick coming over your leg not only makes it hard to
get in and out, but you would have to make it tall enough to not hit your
leg during maneuvers. Check out Mark Langfords site. Awesome dual stick.

Subject: KR> Stick Design of Wittman Tailwind

I saw something interesting in an article in a recent issue of Kitplanes
on the Wittman Tailwind. The Tailwind has a center stick but the top is
bent into a "U" shape
and the end of it winds up in at the lap level of a pilot in the left seat,
placing it where a dual stick would be. That way someone in the left seat
can fly it with the right hand on the straight part of the stick or the left

hand on the bent part of the stick.

This idea could also work on a KR if you made it removeable or able to
rotate so you could get in easily. If I build a KR (and I'm looking for a
KR-2 project at this point), I'd prefer the simplicity of a single stick and

this would eliminate one of the disadvantages.
