If he purchased a certified KR he is probably stuck with the gross weight it was certified for. I don't know if that can be changed or not. In past discussions I recall the weight of wing panels to be in the 35 to 40 pound range. If the wings are rebuilt to save weight, I'd advise going with the new airfoil. Larry Flesner
