Do be careful when using soda blasting as it can be very destructive if used
in the wrong way, such as the thin aluminum skin of a Cessna 182.
After it was demonstrated taking paint off of a Diet Pepsi can, eyes lite up
and a purchase was made. After about two hours of blasting, a friend of
mine took off the leather hood/faceplate rig, stepped back to look at his
work.
He had moved the nozzle to slowly, held it in one place too long and perhaps
pointed it directly into the skin. He ended up having to re-skin the whole
right side of the fuselage, it was puckered and wrinkled all over from the
heat created by the high speed soda.
