My KR suffered the 'dirty belly' problem for years: blowby oil collecting exhaust soot. Bending the exhaust tips downward (four pipes) cured the soot problem years ago. Finally last year I installed a modified blowby oil seperator to capture the blowby oil.
Ground down the top of the seperator body so that the cover would seal tight, installed the overboard vent on the cover, the inlet pipe near the top, and a petcock drain valve on the bottom. Now every month or two I drain off the blowby oil and moisture. Keeps my belly clean! David Feiger, John Day, OR KR2 39426 1439.4 hours to date.
