Netters, I have owned "Porkopolis the Flying Pig" for about a year and a half now. I had to redo the firewall and rework the nose gear a bit. Now, she is back up and running. Engine issues (due to sitting awhile) I think are fixed. The wings are installed and she looks like an airplane again. She is getting quite close to flying. All I have to do is normalize the prop angle and work on the following issue. (Good segue if I say so myself).
Before the previously mentioned work was done I was not having this issue. I am having trouble getting the plane to go left while taxing. Once in a right turn I have to really baby and work hard to get it back straight. I think its because once I am in the aircraft there is not much weight on the nose gear to give it the force needed to turn. I imagine I am not the first with this or similar issue. Below is further information. Diehl nose gear properly installed Brakes are working correctly Nut on Yoke of Nose gear loosened enough so turning the KR using the prop is quite easy Control surfaces are hooked up and working correctly Is there something I am missing? Is there a technique I might be missing somewhere? My A&P is at a bit of a loss himself. Thanks, Chris Corbine P.S.
