Hi Dan, This is Sandy. This is the first opportunity I've had to check mine and Jack's emails. Jack is still in critical and somewhat stable condition. He is paralized from the neck down and dependent on the venilator, but we pray that this will improve when the swelling goes down. Once this levels out he will probably go to Shepard Rehab in Atlanta or the VA in Augusta, GA for intensive long-term rehab. These two centers have some of the best spinal cord injury rehab in the nation. We have no idea how long it will be before transfer is possible as everyone heals at a different rate.
We are so thankful that God has put highly specialized people in our path to care for him. I can't say enough good about the care he is receiving. He needs all the prayers he can get for the swelling to subside and healing to begin. Please do me a favor and update his KR buddies that know him. I will try my best to keep you informed however it may be some time between updates as I'm with him as much as possible.
