Congratulations ! Either location would work but I'd suggest the longer
runway if possible. Even if you assemble it at the large airport, get a
couple of flights in, and then fly it to the grass strip. A greater
concern I have is your recent flight time. Have you been staying
current. I'd say 50 hours in the past 12 months to make a first flight
on a new aircraft. If you have less time then that in the past 12
months I'd suggest a minimum of 10 hours in 30 days before first
flight. If that is not possible there is nothing wrong with having a
well qualified pilot make the first flight(s). Whatever you do, be
safe. You don't want to lose all those building hours to an accident.
