As KR parts are getting more difficult to buy, one of the things I'd like to see is the development of a new landing gear set.  And like the old "KR Newsletter" days, have a guy who is selling gear legs, another guy who is selling castings or weldments for gear leg mounts and nose wheel, for example.  Or they could be the same guy.  The key is somebody who will actually keep a few around, and who will actually sell them to you.  I'd be happy to add a free webpage to the KRnet site to advertise them also, as well as other KR related parts.   I'm pretty sure I have a KRnet member lined up who would produce such a  thing, but step one is quantifying the current Diehl gear leg's flexure and strength properties, and finding a source that matches it...plus a little extra, for the new larger and heavier airplanes that we are building now, including FreeBird.

We'll need somebody that has a new gear leg to do some flexure testing on it, or send it to somebody who can/will do the testing.  Anybody interested, please contact me offline at m...@n56ml.com .

Thanks,

Mark Langford
