It isn't about what will combust in the engine.  It's about how your fuel delivery system is constructed.  If it is designed for alcohol and other unknown additives and can store and deliver the fuel to the engine in an uncontaminated state, then the engine should be fine whether it's a Rotax, Rotec, UL, Continental, Lycoming, or an antique radial.

I ran mogas in several planes without issue for decades.  Then I had a plane significantly damaged by other additives in alcohol free mogas.  I devised a test as described in my previous post for those destructive additives and continued to use MOGAS until the one reliable station was forced to switch to other fuel that, according to my simple test, is unsuitable for use in my aircraft.  In my area, every station carries alcohol free premium fuel.  But not a single one tests as suitable to be used with composite fuel tanks or pipe fitting contains any type of sealant.  Test for yourself and make your decisions based on actual testing and experience.
