I have built two kr’s now, there are many things come to mine,
- one is the spar caps, I would consider making a little thicker, and move the WAF’s a little further from edges, so when you sand them to match the wing skin shape, there is a bit more wood ( and distance) between the WAF and the wing skins. IMHO this would make checking bolt tensions a few times a year( as you do wooded prop bolts) a lot easier to get a spanner  on them.
-ALSO more inspection panels so you can see there as well
- storage area in the inner wings, it fantastic place to keep gear

I am getting ready to start building my 2S and hoping to make some good headway in 2026. The kit I bought from John came with the boat section he built which I plan to use, so I will be starting my build at the wings.

I'd like to use wing tanks on my plane as well as a tricycle gear layout, so if someone can give me advice on what to take into consideration for that so I can prepare early on in the project it would be greatly appreciated.
