I now have 803X, thank you!  How did you stumble upon this?

802X and 809X are available. I saw 809X on a U2 not sure about 802X but since 800X was on one I might assume the range was used...

I don't recall how that happened but I'm in the habit of doing an FAA database search on the "N" number I see on historical aircraft.  That one caught my eye because it was so bold and bright that it looked fake.  When the U-2 was assigned to the military they carried military registration.  The CIA was not a military branch so they carried civilian registration.  Here is some history of 803X found on the net.

"Officially serial number 68-10329, this U-2R bearing the registration number N803X was transferred to the 9th Strategic Reconnaissance Wing at Beale Air Force Base in 1981. It was later converted to a U-2S in 1995"

Much more is available if you do some research.  I recall that 803X was a U-2 converted  to a U-2R and was the aircraft used to test the upgrades.  I recommend you verify my memory on that.

KR builders in other countries my check on registration numbers in their home country.
