I test fly and instruct in home built aircraft for a living and to date I feel the Continental O-200 is the best all around motor for the KR series. It not a screamer but it is as reliable as you can get in a piston engine. I have seen Continental C-85’s for as low as $3,500 recently so there are some good options for the KR out there.
