Thank you for your quick reply. After trying a different installation (LinuxMint KDE)with the same resulting bug I searched the Linux Forums wherein some of the experienced Linux users did not hold Unetbootin in high regard so I concluded the problem was in my Unetbootin Live USB software. Consequently I discovered and used the same type of program loaded with my install of LinuxMint KDE 17x and lo and behold the iso images loaded and I had no more problems. Thanks Kevin PS I did use the checksums!
