Having time to look into this a bit further, it seems actually to be a
bug. The extras-repository has been given up for releases > 15.04 in
favour of the packages "restricted extras-*buntu" To my rememberance on
installation of Wily-Kubuntu this repository was not marked as active as
a standard, even though it's listed. So this probably needed some action
from the user.

Then this is no bug - but a help-inquiry. whereas Launchpad-bugs is not
a sufficient place to go for it. Information on places to seek help, has
been given in a prior bug-report with the same subject.

<OT> I would have found U, if you would have asked for help on
askubuntu.com, since I'm registered there too - appart from the fact
that some high-level users give friendly support there too. <OT>|

** Summary changed:

- unable to open apt to umload extra packages
+ unable to open apt to load extra packages (extras-repository)
