Also working on the same problem using Lantronix UDS-10's. The problem is that to get the PBX into a state where it will switch to programming mode (as opposed to SMDR) you need to start the programming session directly after bringing CTS high. The UDS-10 leaves CTS high all the time... After talking with the tech support folks @ Lantronix the solution is to tie CD (Pin 8 on the UDS) to CTS (Pin 5 on the PBX). CD goes high whenever a TCP connection is active. Hopefully this will help with the other device servers out there. I had a similar problem with Programmator - it turned out that the default Comm Settings used Mark. I changed it to N (i.e. 9600 8 N 1) and it worked. You might try that.
