they must be same dash number  (Pxxx)

small switch on cpu card "master" on 1, "slave" on 2
power both up at same time (power strip suggested)
there can be no CO or Ext use for 3 minutes.

you can use ext on port 1 of master to log in for system programming and 
check 116 for version on system 1 (not 0) until version shows up.
or dial an extension # on slave from master extension until  it rings.
You might need to do a system reset on both if they don't sync. ( I 
think the spec calls for that when you first link them.)
