What is the ext number of the phone that you are using for the XDP. If the
phone ext is 101 than the xdp port is 201. If the jack number for the phone is
1-1 than the xdp is 1-2.
Better way is to DIL the CO 7 to the actual extension number of the XDP, which
should be a 2xx number.

Subject: KX-T: Problem with ringing on XDP port of PDT using KXTD1232

I have never used the XDP phone option on the KXTD1232 before and I am
having a little trouble.

I wanted to add a fax line to one location next to an existing extension
digital Panasonic phone so I added a CO at the switch as CO-7. I turned on
the XDP extension for the existing phone near the FAX. I allowed that XPD
to only use CO-7 and removed CO-7 from all other extensions. I set rings on
all other extensions to "NONE" for CO-7 and set rings to "Immediate" for
CO-7 on the XDP extension. Now I can call out from the XDP that the FAX is
to use, but when I call in to CO-7 the line7 blinks on the digital phone
with the XDP port I am using, but there is no ringing so my FAX can't pick
up. I have changed out all involved phone sets and no joy. What am I
forgetting??? Thank you all for your time.
