I have a number of them working. It is real easy to get them to work. I will go into one and copy the settings. I got that error on my first one as well, but realized I was looking way too far into a simple feature. To be honest, the SMTP is not used, only the POP3 if I remember correctly. You do not need much at all. You do however need to open port 10000 at the firewall to get IN from the outside. Watching the live log it errors out when it gets to the email settings I think I know the problems lies with the clients SMTP server requiring advanced setting. Normally on outlook I would click " My SMTP server requires authentication" and I would be done with it, but there is not such feature button on set up.
