Actually, I'd say they sound worse, especially on outside calls. Well,
to be accurate it's the digital systems that sound worse; which phone
you're using doesn't really matter.
The analog-to-digital conversion on the KX-TD systems results in a fair
amount of hiss on outside calls. I find it especially problematic when
speaking to women with soft voices. Sometimes the hiss and the voice
are at about the same level.
