If you have Internet access, use VNC on the junk computer, and control it by Internet, 
even if it's behind a firewall. Just port forward the VNC ports through to the junk 
machine. I run VNC on most computers here, and can get to all of them (when they are 
running) through the net. VNC even works across OSes. And it's free.
