Hi Sophie,

so I've checked my old m83 OOofiles using pocompendium, then
pomigrate, then
pocount on the new files.
Here is what I get

TOTAL:
type strings words (source) words (translation)
translated: 71873 ( 96%) 523148 ( 97%) 581661
fuzzy: 276 ( 0%) 1305 ( 0%) n/a
untranslated: 2097 ( 2%) 9456 ( 1%) n/a
Total: 74246 533909 581661

File count: 283
Does it sound reasonable?

It does. You did not add lo-build-fr.po to your compendium, did you?

Now to get a full set of .po files for LibO I need to merge the
LibreOffice
3.3.x specific files that are on our Pootle repository, right?

Yes, you need to add lo-build-fr.po to your compendium, before you
update the tree.

so I did:
pocompendium checked.po -d m84 lo-build-fr.po
where m84 is my old OOo po files directory
then
pomigrate -F -C checked.po libo33x-new pot

then I get a directory containing 533909 source words in 283 files
which is different than the DA files in Pootle which contains 534013
source words.
I've no idea where I lose those words. However, if I check with Stuart
files (en-GB) I get the same number of source words (the only
difference is that I've a lot of untranslated strings). May be is it
because of nlpsolver strings?
Am I doing something wrong or can I go on and translate the remaining
strings of my migration?

Thanks in advance
Kind regards
Sophie

How do you count the numbers in directories?

I tried doing that with pocount, but it outputs a separate line for each
.po file, which is way too much lines to quickly compare... :)

At the end, you'll get the total of strings and words, this is what I passed in my mail yesterday.

Kind regards
Sophie
