Welcome Avichai, you can also read http://www.openoffice.org/l10n/how_to_join.html and http://openoffice.apache.org/translate.html to get started on how to use the PO files Juergen just sent you.
Maybe there are already people working on Hebrew and I think they will collaborate with you via the mailing list or via private mails later on.
I'm putting in CC Shirley Khamani, who had given availability to help and already received the PO files. Shirley will be able to tell you if some work is already done, otherwise you can freely start translating!
Nevertheless it would a good idea if you subscribe to this mailing list to get all answers directly.
To do so, send an empty e-mail message to [email protected] and respond to the confirmation request you will receive. This way you won't miss future announcements.
