#7 Sundays in Huntington Beach: Arlington West
continues at 6th Street, just North of the Pier

From: Jim Gibson <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>

Arlington West Huntington Beach
Sundays 8 am - 4:40 PM.
sponsored by OC Veterans for Peace

Arlington West has become one of the most successful
projects in the history of the Orange County peace
movement. The visual image of hundreds of white
crosses placed in the sand representing the hundreds
of fallen soldiers in Iraq has paused thousands to stop
and reflect on the cost of war. Orange County Veterans
For Peace is more committed, organized and able to
carry on this memorial than ever before. We are calling
on the anti-war movement in Orange County to again
affirm your commitment to this project as we welcome
your participation in a spirit of peaceful understanding
and trust. Please come out onto the sands of Huntington
Beach and join us as we wage peace there.

We really need volunteers - Please Help

We begin with set-up at 8 AM on each Sunday at 6th Street,
just North of the Pier. -
NOTE NEW LOCATION ON OTHER SIDE OF PIER FROM
WHERE WE USE TO BE !

Come down and enjoy the day. Stay as long as you wish.

Take down begins at about 4:00 PM. See you there.

#9 Every Sunday evening in Huntington Beach:

"Peace vigil every Sunday night at the foot of the
Huntington Beach Pier, 7-8 pm

We are a small group of people who believe in
non-violence both physically and in our thoughts.
We stand at the pier with a sign that says:"Visualize
World Peace. It's up to you". We want people to
start believing that it is possible to have a world at
peace, even if it's hard for most people to even
imagine it. We will discuss peace and non-violence
in a spirit of dignity and respect with anyone who
is rational and smile quietly at those who aren't.

With all the violence in our world, we seek to
encourage people to look at the alternative - to seek
peace in their hearts and in our world.
