An ad hoc coalition the "May 20 Hands Off
Venezuela and Cuba Coalition" is sponsoring a
demonstration in Los Angeles {and Washington, D.C., to
demand the U.S. cease all threats and campaigns
against the sovereign countries of Cuba and Venezuela.
This demonstration comes at a critical time as the
Bush administration is moving aggressively to
overthrow the democratically elected government
of Venezuela, while it initiates new provocations
against the people of Cuba.
======== This march and rally comes at a critical
moment as Bolivia and Venezuela both announce greater
control over their gas and oil reserves, a move
condemned by Washington.
Venezuela has offered inexpensive fuel to Honduras,
an act which has been characterized by the U.S. as
provocative.
