Please try to come on Saturday, October 7th, from 4-6 p.m. to learn more about
&/or support the Clean Money Proposition. It may be the single most
important ballot proposition in our history. It would change the way politics
are financed, and if successful in California (already in effect in Maine and
Arizona, and several other states), it would change politics throughout the
country. Obviously, politics are now only about money and how much a
candidate (or proponents of a ballot proposition) can raise. Without money
the candidate has no chance. Public financing has worked in Arizona and Maine,
where 10 out of 11 candidates run on public financing -- that means they don't
have to spend time raising funds--they can do their job-- working for their
constituents (what a concept)! They are not obligated to lobbyists.
