This Thursday, October 5th, is the National Day of Resistance to Drive
Out the Bush Regime. The U.S. has legalized torture and eliminated the
right of habeas corpus. This is part of a whole package coming from the
Bush Regime which includes the occupation of Iraq, the assault on
critical thinking and moves towards theocracy, the systematic attack on
womens rights, the criminal response to Katrina, the attack on
immigrants, and the promotion of a culture of greed, bigotry, and
ignorance. We are now at a defining moment. This must be stopped. We
invite you to join us on the Day of Resistance, October 5th. Endorse
this Day. Contribute funds. We invite you to take responsibility for
or be part of the contingent opposing the crime you are most concerned
with - bring signs, props, costumes, photographs. Send out the notice
below to your listserve, post it on your website, and mobilize your
members to participate. Let us know how you can participate.

NO WORK! NO SCHOOL! MARCH WITH US!
The Bush Regime has now legally codified torture. The president now
legally has the power to hold people indefinitely without charges and
with no right to review. This is unacceptable. As our Call says, The
Bush Regime is radically remaking society, in a fascist way, and for
generations to come. We must act now. The future is in our hands. Join
us.
Let's unleash a great wave, moving together on the same day -- our
numbers making a statement that cannot be ignored and that lets it be
known we are determined to bring this whole disastrous direction to a
halt. On Thursday, October 5th, let's say to the world: This regime
does not represent us! We will not stop until we drive it out! Walk
out of school! Refuse to work!
Vision and Speakers for October 5th:
NOON: Convergance at Pershing Square, Speakers, music, crimes displays.
(Corner of 5th and Olive. Red Line Metro Pershing Square stop)
3:00 PM: Bush Crimes Tour March departs from Pershing Square. Immigrant
contingent gathers at Olympic and Broadway, to march up Broadway and
joins the Tour.
We want the world to see our banners: WAR! TORTURE! KATRINA!
THEOCRACY! BRING THIS TO A HALT! The world must see contingents of
thousands indicting the Bush Regime for endless war; torture; illegal
detention and attacks on immigrants; theocracy; Katrina; attacks on
science and critical thinking; the attack on abortion and right to
choose; and for enforcing a culture of greed, intolerance, and bigotry.
We envision torture victims in black hoods and orange jumpsuits, women
in bloody hospital gowns, a New Orleans style jazz funeral to say "No
More Katrinas!" Bring your creative expressions of opposition to the
crimes of the Bush Regime! Let us know what you will take
responsibility for!

Following the rally, we will march around the Federal Building complex
(the Federal Building, VA Clinic, Federal detention center, Federal
