At the rally, we'll put the war on trial with a People's Tribunal. Individuals and organizations will give political talks and eyewitness testimony on why the war is illegal and how it has harmed communities in the U.S. and all over the world. The charges: Bush administration and the U.S. government are guilty of war crimes and crimes against humanity in Iraq and all over the world, including right here in the United States. The witnesses: Leaders from many LA community organizations, including anti-war and anti-racist groups, Arab American organizations, civil rights groups, military resisters, war veterans and Gold Star families, youth and student organizers, immigrant rights activists, Korean and Filipino groups, Latino organizers, Indigenous speakers, Haiti solidarity groups, organized labor, religious groups, Hurricane Katrina survivors, women's and LGBT organizations, teachers and many more - all to speak out against the war and indict the U.S. government for its crimes. There will also be live music. The jury: The people. Everyone who attends the Oct. 28 anti-war march. The verdict: At the end of the rally, all present will vote and render the people's verdict - finding the U.S. government and its current leaders, the Bush administration, "guilty" or "not guilty" of war crimes and crimes against humanity. We'll also vote on whether the war should continue or if it should end immediately. Be part of this important action. Come out on Oct. 28 to vote with your feet, vote with your voices and vote on the streets. Let's tell the both the Republicans and Democrats - the twin parties of the war machine - that the people are strongly against war, occupation, racism and bigotry!
