If Labs allowed releases, then the PMC members would have to
scrutinize and vote on them.
Why? It's "a place for innovation where committers of the
foundation can experiment with new ideas".
So, it's not official apache software in a true sense.
Anyhow, like said I find it useless and pull my sources
outside the labs to the place where I have more freedom
to experiment with new ideas.
BTW, what would happen if I just put the .tar.gz into
my ~/public_html/ and share that will my fellow committers
so we have the same testing codebase for example?
