Do you all remember the Small World experiment, in which some researchers at Columbia University in New York were attempting to prove or disprove the "6 degrees of separation" hypothesis? (That is, the idea that any person in the world could be reached through a chain of acquaintances an average of 6 links long.) Well, the first Small World experiment is now complete and findings were published in Science Magazine in August, 2003.
