Yes, the history is quite accurate, from what I recall on the copyeditors'
list. In Israel we call it a "strudel," which isn't too far from the Swedish
cinnamon roll.
In Polish, it's "monkey" but I think it's only since the 'puter explosion. I seem to remember a different term (something like "at", but refering to price, not site) when I was in school.
