Wow, Janice! Lucky you! Those are gorgeous needles, and look like they would be nice to work with! I've also been knitting! I've finished a short "hood" which is just a tube which can be worn over the head outside, and inside is just pulled down onto the shoulders as a cowl. It's nice and warm, and with the alpapa wool in it, it is very soft to touch! I just started a gorgeous lace shawl, which is knit in cotton yarn on #9 (US) needles, but has a lovely lacey pattern. Because I came down with a nasty head-cold on New Year's, I've not felt like sitting at a lace pillow, but bundled in a warm comforter in an easy chair with my feet up, I can knit to my heart's desire. Greetings to everyone! Hope you're keeping warm, and enjoying the fact that the holidays are finally over. (I love this time of year!!)

Hi Dora,
Both lists are quiet. I just found out from a friend that I had won a spider
raffle and I also won the Lace Guild Advent Calendar. No wonder people were
saying I should buy a lottery ticket this week. I finally received the digest
for Lace and will read it asap, but Lace Chat is very quiet. Maybe we can
think up a new topic.

I have been busy knitting myself a cardigan and was able to model it last
night for my lace friends. My DH bought me a set of beautiful multi colored
circular wooden needles for my birthday. They have interchangeable ends and
four circular center wires. I started knitting a beret last night and they
feel so smooth to knit with. They are from Knitpicks in the US, see them at
this link.

My DD sends me interesting links on knitting on youtube so I can see what she
is talking about when we talk knitting with each other. Here are three she
sent me recently.

Hope this starts a new topic.
