That sounds like a nice project to knit but I would dislike wearing it except
outside.  I am stil getting those awful hot flashes (and at my old age too!!),
so I can't stand anything around my neck.  Yes, I'm older than you think :-)
I get my Medicare coverage next week!

Hope your cold has improved by now and you can get back to the pillow.
Janice

p.s.  I am off to do some "doing it in public" tonight to advertise a local
fiber festival in Crystal Lake in the summer.  We are doing it at Panera Bread
tonight.  I will be knitting this time as my lace pillow is a bit heavy for
carrying around, especially on snow and ice.

Wow, Janice! Lucky you! Those are gorgeous needles, and look like they
would be nice to work with!

I've also been knitting! I've finished a short "hood" which
is just a
tube which can be worn over the head outside, and inside is just pulled
down onto the shoulders as a cowl. It's nice and warm, and with the
alpapa wool in it, it is very soft to touch! I just started a gorgeous
lace shawl, which is knit in cotton yarn on #9 (US) needles, but has a
lovely lacey pattern. Because I came down with a nasty head-cold on New
Year's, I've not felt like sitting at a lace pillow, but bundled in a
warm comforter in an easy chair with my feet up, I can knit to my
heart's desire.

Greetings to everyone! Hope you're keeping warm, and enjoying the fact
that the holidays are finally over. (I love this time of year!!)

Clay
