Hi Jaquie and everyone IMO paypal is easier to use than the bank, for overseas currency transfers. For the rest of your query, I would say check with your paypal.uk about charges for withdrawing money. There might not be any if you are transferring a significant amount from your paypal account to your bank account. And none, or not much if you are paying for whatever from the paypal account.
