In my family it was sky blue with purple spots! My father always explained unknown items as 'a wigwam to wind the sun up with'. He was pretty good at explaining most things but this was a nice get out clause and a good answer to the eternal child's question 'what's that'!
It makes you wonder where these all originate Mum was from Suffolk and Dad from Ireland.
