Hi All, I won't spill all the secrets of the new IOLI Bulletin but I have to mention the incredible BL crab on the cover. It's by Elizabeth MacDonald of Pennsylvania and the colors are incredible!!! Some of you will remember reports to arachne a few years ago about a Lace Retreat outside of Philadelphia. The students had a picture by their pillows and, using many colors, they recreated the pictures in lace! It sounded so intriguing to me and Elizabeth MacDonald was their teacher. She also has a short article about making this lace. Having a rebellious spirit I think it's wonderful!
There are many other wonderful things in the Bulletin including a bit about a lace history mystery in Devon's article <G>. Jane in Vermont, shocked she got the Bulletin before anybody else wrote about it! That makes up for the freezing temperatures we've gotten - even hail last night - but the crocuses don't mind.
