Out of curiosity, what have the others done with theirs?
Mine is mounted on a brooch mount and gets worn with appropriate colours.
I wear my (Honiton) Arachne Spider which you'd made - and thoughtfully mounted in a brooch - for me, too; quite often. So, I too, like Jane, have to explain repeatedly that "no, I didn't make it; a friend made it for me"... :)
To answer Jane's question - as far as I know/remember:
An early, small M (not yet reworked into the standardized frame) was set into a pocket watch case, emptied of the watch-works, to be used as a pendant.
An early, largish P (not yet reworked) was set into a lid of one of those ceramic boxes made by Framecraft.
An S was sewn onto a hankie corner (for which the recipient then made a lace edging) and a B onto a shirt pocket.
An A and an S were set into a clear acrylic key-chain fob (but identically shaped fridge magnet mounts used to be available at WalMart)
I found an ornate (reproduction Victorian) photo frame with 3 oval openings, and mounted L, E, and S - the initials of my middle stepson's daughters - as a Christmas gift for their mother some years ago.
The - now standardized - thingies are 44x55mm (the early ones differed in size), including the "frame", if made in Madeira 50/2 (which most of them were), and there are a lot of options on how to use them. More options could - I think - be added if one were to make them in a different size thread (and enlarge/reduce the pattern to match)... I may have to get some Colcoton 70/2 from Lacy Susan, to make some bigger ones... When my savings stop melting away :)
So... Does anyone have an opinion on which way the downstroke of the T should curl its tail? Left, or right?
