It is a silly argument we are having about the word "International" in our name, when what touched off the subject was, first, an objection to being called "old," and, second, although to a lesser extent, a dislike among some of us to the word "lacers." We don't necessarily need to keep the word "International" in our possible new name; but as a practical matter, the first issue for both consideration and action is: shall we change our present (objectionable?) name? If we decide that we should change it, then that is the time for ideas for a new name. A naming contest, maybe, such as was held so successfully when we were looking for a logo for the CRLG? With the winner even getting a freebie, such as the new pin that would be designed? But the issue is: shall we change the name? If yes, let's get on with that question. If no, let's shut up about it. -- Aurelia
