[lace] Keeping labels with spools of thread

With Gimp thread spools, or Crochet Cotton spools, I use a bit of Sticky 
tape, and stick the labels too the inside of the spool.  I try to get the 
number of the thread positioned so that I can read it!!
Other than that, I use a permanent marker and write the number on the spool, 
or on a sliver of sticky label and stick that on or in the spool.  Threads 
like Finka and Brok don't have labels to attach, - just the celophane 
wrapping with the number on, which makes life very difficult!!
Madeira Tanne is "co-operative" and has the name and number printed on the 
ends of the core!
