As the incredibly surprised and lucky person who won this book in the drawing, I promised the author that I would pass a report on to the others in the group.
This book arrived very quickly.
It is a soft back 60 pages long, book of very clear diagrams and concise text explaining what equipment is needed to copy an old piece of lace and make a new pricking from that. It takes the terror out of the idea of trying and in the future I will be booking myself some time to try it out. They explain how to take an old piece of distored lace and make a clear pricking from it, and then did variations on that, straight, lace, circular piece and a corner. Anyone wanting to try this out should find this book a very useful tool. It is not a book with lots of varied prickings and patterns, more a method of learning to draw the, as it says reconstructing old lace.
I hope my description hasn't confused anyone,.

"Rekonstruktion alter Spitzen" is available from Kloeppelbuch.de
( http://www.xn--klppelbuch-fcb.de/shop/ )
for 20 euros. They take credit cards and PayPal and are also a wonderful source for used books (particularly German ones), with fast friendly service. I've had several dealings with them and am a very happy customer (with no other connection
to them, I might add).

In a flurry of computer housekeeping (my hard drive is stuffed!), I
seem to have thrown out the information I had collected on a book which
was recently put up for a drawing...about learning how to make a new

authors (I've lost their address too!) and they told me that they don't
take Visa, so I am trying to find out how much the book will cost so I
can send them payment in euros.

Does anyone know what I am talking about and where I can find the
information?
