Hiya all. Thanks for all the good advice for a poor newb like me. I have updated my live-journal, if you want pics of my new project. I decided to use some 100% cotton used for sewing quilts for the fir tree fan, seem to work pretty well, although it does not keep the shape as well as linen. The lightest Bocken linen I had vas 80/2 and that was a bit too coarse for that piece.
