> Do any of your groups belong to a larger center > that provides meeting and storage space?
I belong to two groups that meet in a public space. One is at a community center. This place does provide space to put our two mobile locked bookcases of guild books and stuff. They don't charge us directly for room rent because we participate in the fundraising events they have. However, we do give them a voluntary contribution on occasion. The other group meets in a community room owned by a bank. Nonprofit groups are allowed to meet there at no charge. (We are so nonprofit that we don't even have any funds of any kind.) There is no storage space, just a lovely large room. We thanked them one year by giving them lace Christmas ornaments for their tree. Some towns have a public room at a fire station, utility office, city hall or a church. It's worth checking all possibilities.
