Hi Anne I noticed this as well at our lace day in May, there was half the number there than last year.
I heard that it is mainly down to who is giving the talk and who the suppliers are as to how many attend which is wrong in my opinion. The people that organise these lace days for us put a lot of effort into them so that we can have a nice day, so I think that we should make every effort to go. I like to go to see what new patterns, threads etc that have come available also to catch up with other lace makers and see what they are doing. All in all a great day out, here in this part of the country we only have the one a year so it is definately a not to be missed. Wendy.
