I have been given two large wooden reels of silk thread the person who gave it to me did so because she knows I collect wooden cotton reels which are no longer available in the UK , the reels are full of lovely silk thread which I cannot use because it breaks at the slightest touch, does anyone know of a way to make this thread useable again or will I just have to look at it on the shelf of my workroom with the rest of the reels.
