A brief report on Sweet Briar ..... this was my very first lace conference and I had a ball. Met some delightful lacers and learned some new techniques. Isn't that what you're supposed to do? Being a lace knitter as well as a tatter I was enthralled at the beautiful threads for bobbin lace and indulged myself. Also bought several bobbin lace books (since I've been lacing less than a year) as well as some knitted lace shawl books. My teacher, Susan Wenzel, was the greatest and I'm already planning to return next year. Norma in Salem, VA/USA
