Super duper lace Alix! I neglected to compliment you earlier. Snocksnarls
will be my new word of the day! What a great term to share with textile
friends. I have already shared the Butterfly Project info with embroidery &
quilt guild friends. You can never have too many butterflies! Thanks for
posting the link. The dollhouse size lace tablecloth is charming. Thanks for
posting the pattern Avital. If one doesn't have a dollhouse, it could be
applied to a small hard-shell/envelope type handbag--sort of a lacy minaudiere.
A friend has golden retrievers & they shed, shed, shed. She brushes them
outside & leaves the fur to be picked up by birds visiting her
smorgasbord/feeder. I'm so glad to see so many fun ideas for orts! As a
newbie, I tend to overwind my bobbins so I don't run out of thread but I can't
stand wasting the stuff either. I haven't tried the layers of organza with
machine embroidery but I have used the pastic stuff that comes on a roll that
washes out
later. Would you believe, it's called Free Lace!?! It's made by Mokuba & if
anyone wants the details, you may email me privately for a source. I made
several scarves & a hat band--tres chic. Last but not least--I think we have
the makings of a new board game for lacemakers--CLEW! The first crime would be
Penelope murdering B(l)inche in the drawing room. <G> Susan, eating stone
crab claws with sweet mustard overlooking the bay, 72* & sunny
