I have found that I've never been terribly thrilled with a piece of lace
in a picture. But when I see it "in person", I'm blown away by the
beauty of it! So I recommend having a look around at the IOLI
convention in Bethesda (you *are* going, aren't you - even for one
day?) There will be so many laces to be seen, and surely one of them
will call out to you!! (Not to mention the sales room!!!)
My excuse is that shortly after acquiring my pillow, I was seduced by
the Belgian laces, and shortly after that was able to get a Christina.
The Christina, for me, is more suitable for these complex laces which
require so many, many bobbins. My DH improved my Christina by
fashioning a platform, of sorts (we call it "wings" because that's what
it looks like) which help keep bobbins which aren't being used out of
the way above the pillow - without having to lengthen the leashes. So I
haven't used my Toustou at all, even though I think it is absolutely
spendid.

I also have a relatively new "Simon roller pillow," and it's
gorgeous. My only problem is that I can't seem to find a pricking
that is "worthy" of being worked on it. <g>
