I bought two fabulous items last weekend and both need lace inside to complete them, but I know I want something that I enjoyed working but which really looks good when done and mounted. One is a box which now holds my bobbins and also bits and pieces of findings, hair slide backs and other little things like bells I have added to christmas bell pieces of lace. The lid is a wooden frame with glass to show off whatever goes in it, be it a photograph, cross stitch design or lace. it is quite big at 11 inches square. The other is a clock and we pick a design and then consider another. I think it will be sometime before I get started at this rate. I do need to complete the current strip which is half done at the moment as I need to free up the bobbins and also the large block pillow. I would love to know how others get their creative minds to decide on one design when so many wonderful patterns exist.
