Would it work to do decorative stitching to hide the tulle? Or a use a narrow silk ribbon? Just ideas

insecure, because I think the tulle will be lighter than the lace. I don't
want to use too fine a thread because it may never, ever be finished. The
thread I will probably use is thin but not very fine.

Jane - If the veil were brought forward, how would it cover the face? Is
the City & Guilds lacemaking certificate still being done? I am still
searching high and low, far and wide for some more lace qualifications -
but preferably of a higher level than the University Diploma I now have.
