Dear Diana and others who are interested,

I asked my local book supplier about this British book. As of today, this
is what she reported back:

'"The Royal Lacemaker is an overseas book not available here. As soon as
it's out, we could do an overseas order, but it will be close to thirty US
dollars for a paperback."

I (Jeri) will wait for comments from others before diverting lace book
money to buy a work of fiction.

So, somebody who is lurking - here is your chance to tell us about this
book and whether it accurately portrays lace making and the known history of
lace in the lace villages of Devon!

I have just received a copy of this book by Linda Finlay. Has anyone read
it,
if so, what are their thoughts?
